Challenge

Hey People.I went through the blog of (https://sparkofwriting.wordpress.com), I am pretty embarrased i don’t really know the name of the blogger 😦 but anyways, i saw her effort to the writing challenge, she tried her best and i thought for a while that i should give it a try. So here is my try. The topic was Photographs. 🙂

Photographs

I still remember the grayscale one,
with a multitude of memories,
the happiness and fun,
it layed in a frame enclosed,
telling a story untold,
how is it that even after all this,
I still look at the photograph,
and it takes me to the place,
like no one ever could,
the brisk air,
the heavy tides,
the lonesome roads,
the happy ride,
how the storm took over,
how things changed so fast,
now I stand trying hard,
to forget the image i have,
the grayscale one can be removed,
broken again like in the past,
yeah i did it too,
but the strength to do so,
has faded somewhere,
the memories hover,
uncontrolled,
is it because it can capture,
only the happiness,
even without colours,
it devours sadness,
i know somewhere it is true,
the grayscale one had me too.
Let it be,let it go
grayscale would remain for sure
7 min 30 sec, 152 words.

The topic was great, a culmination of art and writing could have been incorporated in it.

Library

bib_08

I see the world,
as a huge library,
stacked together,
With people as books,
Each one different,
each one worth knowing,
to know everything,
you cannot remain in the shelves,
you are not confined to,
be the book every avid reader wants to read,
be the avid reader every book wants,
and never ever judge a book by it’s cover.

Wandering

When was the last time,
you actually wandered,
when you wanted to,
with just the soul,
for seeing the stars,
for facing the tide,
for the rainbows,
that never hide,
for paths that tell a story,
for mornings of glory,
for people you never met,
for stories you never heard,
for love never felt,
for knowing yourself,
like you never did,
if you ever want to,
then do it for sure ,
but,
without a purpose,
without seeing the time,
without remembering people you knew.
wander to know,
not the places,
but the places you belong to,
wander to know,
not people,
but the person
in the mirror.

The Blessing

Beautiful summer morning dew tablet wallpapers 1280x800 (05)

Blessed are those for whom the sky,
is beautiful as it was, till they die,
the wind remains an echo
of voices familiar,
it’s the dear ones, alas!
of whom they wanted to hear,
friends are the ones who are always around,
no wounds are open, the heart is sound,
lullabies are heard in the beautiful night,
with stars dancing giving invite,
the storms are far, the battles aren’t true,
sun is gleaming over the morning dew,
love is not a distant dream ahead,
head has no control over heart instead,
pain is over,fiesta is true,
I had a similar dream,did you too?

Ashes of Future

Ashes are that remain,
when you burn everything,
flying away with inadvertent pain,
letting you know the missing,
ashes of future,of unfinished acts,
which were let go,
because of time you never had,
they could have been memories of past,
a delightful one,waiting to last,
if you would have trusted the guts,
and never step backed as such.
if you would have raised the bar,
for the dreams,
if you would have listened to the fire,
deep down,
if you would have believed,
that with every burn,
ashes do rise but never as the phoenix,
of  winsome times.

Ice and Fire

An unconventional attempt to portray Ice and Fire through words,
Sources of Inspiration remain the orignal poem ” Fire and Ice” By Robert Frost and the writings of George R. R. Martin ” A Song of Ice and Fire”.

Ice and Fire,
with secret desires,
different completely,
and consequences dire,

chosing cunningly the prey,
ice moves without commotion,
and things become irrevocable then,
like dead cold ocean,

the fire but makes noise,
and makes the prey scream,
till it reduces to ashes,
the proof of its once pristine,

what if they are together,
like two inseparable souls,
would there be a chaos or shudder?
a light of fire or dead cold?
