Odyssey

002066_u7aaaaab_b (1)

life lived on the lengths of sea,
tides and tenderness everywhere,
wind finds a way to the heart,
depths dissolved me somewhere,
eyes are eager for a tide,
a seagull across the sky,
I wonder if it is all true,
over an occult sea so bright,

Tears Tonight

I met a stranger,
in the subway tonight,
he seemed lost,
with tears in his eyes,
ragged clothes,
and a smell of despair,
his world seem fallen,
everywhere,
he sat in the corner,
and cried like a baby,
people didn’t care,
I tried,maybe
but I couldn’t bear,
seeing him cry,
so I went,
and asked him why?
He swept his tears,
and looked surprised,
didn’t say a word,
not a sigh,
took out a paper,
and asked me to read,
I read and couldn’t think,
how to leave,
he hugged me hard,
and sobbed again,
“Old Age Home”,
was his pain
a life now spent,
in utter regret,
as where did his love,
fell short in life,
why the end like this,
why tears tonight.

The Sea’s Longing

The sea longs for a lost lover,
every beautiful night,
who was taken away from her,
very far out of sight,

Every clear night,
she sees him above,
among the stars bright
lies her lost love,

who conjures waves in her,
with his dim light,
she breaks down in unrest,
even with all her might,

the stars look at everything,
and quietly wonder why,
their love increases with distance,
every single night.

Not Again

I see her seated,
far in the room,
with someone I don’t know,
her lover I assume,
hands in unison,
eyes all met,
listening to the music,
candles brightly lit,
we see one another,
decide to avoid,
it’s time for me to leave,
to say her goodbye,
I walk past her,
she sees me around,
eyes finally met,
without a sound,
she calls my name,
wishes me goodnight,
I see her eyes,
and forget all sight,
walking in rain,
all I tell myself,
not again my heart,
you have already wept.

Close to the Moon

752
Every night,
I lay down,
and try to find you,
in the stars unseen,

but you were hidden,
behind the clouds,
close to the moon,
where you had been,

 It’s has been time,
since I saw you,
close to me,
even in my dreams,

I will wait for the clouds,
to go tonight,
and see you again,
by any means.

Some Eyes

Some eyes are deep,
like a lake of drowned bodies,
like a heart sunk in,
like a long winter’s sleep,

Some eyes tell a story,
like a old war veteran,
like a grandmother waiting for children,
like a writer with a past,

Some eyes take you places,
like a kid holding your hands,
like a treasure map in sand,
like a memory you cannot withstand,

And some eyes love,
like a cute kitten’s,
like a playful omen,
like a mysterious showman’s.
