Sometimes

Sometimes I don’t feel like writing,
I am not able to fathom a title,
inside me words fumble,
they slip out my fingers,
coffee spills on my diary,
the stars don’t seem to align,
I fell on the bed frustrated,
cursing those lucky angels,
who used to sit on my shoulders
and watch me write,
I know the mornings won’t be same,
my toes won’t laugh,
heart won’t sing,
Some Other Day, I tell myself,
If i survive such grief
Tonight.

Rage

flames burning
cities ruined
blood splattered
children wailing
helpless dying
all seen at once
on a canvas
of a painter
who once
survived
rage of nations.

Depart

We all are bound to depart,
from places we love someday,
Willingly or unwillingly
Some leave with tears,
Some with memories..
and some never leave at all,
the places have remains of them,
echoes of their presence,
Forever.

Ice cubes

Ice cube and water drops on the wet background

What if we were ice cubes,
floating in a bowl of life,
some drift to the edge ,
some drift to the right,
all waiting to melt,
some untimely day,
life would be felt,
as we disappear,
and become a part of it,
to let others float,
in a colder place,
better for others and
more of life.
