The Blessing

Blessed are those for whom the sky,
is beautiful as it was,till they die,
the wind remains an echo
of voices familiar,
it’s the dear ones, alas!
of whom they wanted to hear,
friends are the ones who are always around,
no wounds are open,the heart is sound,
lullabies are heard in the beautiful night,
with stars dancing giving invite,
the storms are far, the battles aren’t true,
sun is gleaming over the morning dew,
love is not a distant dream ahead,
head has no control over heart instead,
pain is over,fiesta is true,
I had a similar dream,did you too?

Peace

Peace isn’t a word, it’s a expression,
of having a inner calm even under suppression,
of having a smile even when you sleep,
of losing fear inside one’s deep,
of living in the present and forgetting the past,
of being happy till your untimely last,
of praying for others all around ,
of letting go of prejudice and be sound,
of seeing the beauty you never saw,
of forgetting all natures of law,
of letting go of what you cannot control,
of not reading the memory scroll,
of those who want peace let it flow,
of places and times no matter  how shallow.

Why I Love “The Black Keys”

When i first heard the band name , “The Black Keys” , it gave me a feeling of Jazz and old Blues, I thought that this band would comprise people jamming their way through dark lit rooms with cigars and black hats everywhere, I first saw their music video,’ Tighten Up‘ on MTV and it hit me like anything, they descended like aura of musicians mixing pots curry of Indie Rock and Garage Rock .

The lead singer, Dan Auerbach is a rugged example of garage raised indie rock rebel infused with American Macho instincts in him,but when he starts in the “Little Black Submarine” he takes people to memoirs of Led Zepplin in their peak days. His beard and guitar both are a part of this manifested body.

Patrick Carney on the drums, gave me a feeling of an unusually tall man lost in a concert, took the drums set by mistake,but when he plays he shadows all the doubts of people around him. He without a doubt was a social outcast during his school days till he start working with Dan in this project.

Their infusion of this music is highly addiction. Their notable songs that have changed my music taste me include –

There is a phoenix inside each of us,
rattling out the cages, we call heart,
Ever wondered what keeps it inside?
Why doesn’t it tear the heart apart?,
burns what comes in its way?
so that you have a new self,
pure by the flames of desire,
without feeling of failure,
blinded just by passion,
without thirst, food,sleep,love,faith,hope,

Why do some of us soar so high?
Why do some live with scars?
It is when you killed what you loved,
stopped doing what you always wanted,
listened to the multitude of people,
who never listened to their own rattles of cages.
